Privacy Policy

The short version

Every QR generator on this site — the fourteen individual formats and the bulk workspace — runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into them, upload to them, or generate with them is ever sent to a server. Two features on the site do transmit data — the contact form and the paid checkout — both covered specifically below.

QR generation

Whatever you enter into a generator — a URL, a WiFi password, contact details, an uploaded CSV — stays in your browser's memory for as long as the page is open, and is discarded when you close the tab or navigate away. QR Workbench has no server-side component for QR generation and cannot see what you typed, what format you chose, or what you downloaded. This isn't a policy we could quietly reverse — the code that builds a QR code runs entirely client-side, so there's no server-side code path capable of receiving that data even if we wanted it to.

The bulk workspace specifically

Uploading a CSV to the bulk workspace reads the file directly in your browser using standard web file APIs. The file is never uploaded to a server, and the ZIP you download is assembled locally on your device.

The contact form

If you use the contact form, the name, email address, subject, and message you submit are sent by email to QR Workbench's inbox so we can read and reply to it. This is transmitted through Gmail and isn't stored in a separate database beyond that email — there's no CRM, no mailing list signup happening in the background, and nothing is shared with third parties for marketing. It's used only to respond to your message.

Information we do not collect

• No account credentials — there are no accounts.
• No payment information — the Batch Pass and Pro checkouts are handled entirely by Dodo Payments on their own checkout page; QR Workbench never sees or stores your card details.
• No device fingerprinting.
• No QR content, CSV files, or generated output — see above. That stays true regardless of the analytics described below; there's no code path connecting the generators to anything that leaves your browser.

Cookies and tracking

QR Workbench uses Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which pages get traffic — page views, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and the site that referred you. Google Analytics sets cookies and similar identifiers to do this, and the data it collects is pseudonymous and aggregate. It never includes anything you type into a QR generator or the contact form — both stay entirely outside Google Analytics, for the reason described above: there's no code path connecting them. See Google's Privacy Policy for how Google itself handles this data. QR Workbench does not use advertising trackers or sell any data to third parties.

Advertising

QR Workbench does not currently run any advertising. This section is a standing disclosure in case that changes: third-party vendors, including Google, may in the future use cookies to serve ads on this site based on a user's prior visits here or to other sites. That means Google and its partners could use the DoubleClick cookie (or similar mechanisms) to serve ads based on someone's visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's page on how it uses data from sites that use its services. If and when QR Workbench actually starts running ads, this page will be updated with the date of that change and any further detail it requires.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like most hosting providers, Vercel's infrastructure may log basic technical request data (IP address, request timing, browser user-agent) as a normal part of serving web traffic — the same baseline logging virtually every website generates by default. QR Workbench does not access or use this data beyond what's needed to keep the site running and diagnose outages.

Paid features

The bulk workspace is free to try up to 20 codes per batch. Buying a Batch Pass or Pro is handled by Dodo Payments on their own checkout page — QR Workbench never receives or stores your payment card details. After payment, Dodo sends the purchase to QR Workbench's server just long enough to generate a license key and email it to you; from then on, unlocking is just that key being checked against Dodo's own payment records, not anything stored on our side.

Accounts

QR Workbench doesn't have user accounts, and doesn't plan to add them. There's no password to store, no profile, and no cross-device history to sync.

Children's privacy

QR Workbench is a general-purpose utility, not a service directed at children, and knowingly collecting personal information from children isn't something the site is designed to do given that it collects essentially no personal information from anyone in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If what QR Workbench collects or how it's used changes, this page will be updated with a new date at the top, and any material change affecting the generators' client-side-only processing will be called out explicitly.
