QR Code Generator from Excel
Use your Excel workbook directly. Import .xlsx without first converting to CSV, select the worksheet containing your list, and map columns to QR content and filenames. Reading and generation stay in your browser.
Build a clean export worksheet
Put column headers in the first row: ID, Name, and URL are a practical starting point. Keep one item per row and avoid merged headers, title blocks, totals, and unrelated notes in the data range. Blank rows are ignored.
For website batches, store complete links such as https://example.com/assets/A001 in the URL column. For plain identifiers, use a text column. For contacts, provide separate name, phone, and email columns and select vCard mode.
From workbook to named QR files
- Save the workbook as .xlsx. For formulas, save calculated results or paste values into a dedicated export sheet.
- Upload the workbook. Choose the sheet you want to generate from.
- Map the content column and a stable ID for filenames. Select website mode if you want URL-syntax warnings.
- Inspect previews, then scan samples to confirm the imported values.
- Export SVG or PNG files in a ZIP. Up to 20 codes per batch are free.

Prevent spreadsheet conversion mistakes
Excel display formatting can differ from the stored cell value. A numeric ID displayed as 000123 may import as 123. Store identifiers, phone numbers, and WiFi passwords as text. Dates are imported in ISO date form; use a text cell if your printed label needs a different representation.
The tool does not run macros, calculate formulas, or sign in to linked systems. Check your exported QR files against the source values, particularly for long numbers and cells containing friendly hyperlink text.

The bulk workspace produces individual files for your existing design workflow. The label workspace reads the same workbook and arranges the content and captions into A4 or Letter PDF sheets. A $7 Batch Pass covers one selected file and worksheet up to 5,000 codes; $39 lifetime Pro includes repeated batches, batch logos, and PDF label export.

Questions about qr code generator from excel
Which Excel formats are supported?
Upload .xlsx workbooks up to 20 MB or a CSV export. Older .xls, macro-enabled .xlsm, and password-protected workbooks are not supported. Save an unprotected .xlsx copy first.
Can I choose a worksheet?
Yes. After loading a workbook, choose a worksheet from the selector. Each sheet needs one unique, nonempty header per column and at least one data row. A Batch Pass applies to the chosen file and worksheet.
Will formulas and hyperlinks work?
Use cells containing the actual URL or text you want encoded. Formula cells depend on saved results; formulas are not calculated in the browser. A friendly hyperlink label is not a substitute for the underlying URL. Copy final values into a clean export sheet.
How do I preserve phone numbers and IDs?
Format the source column as Text before entering values. Numeric cells can already have lost leading zeroes or precision before import. Changing formatting afterward cannot recover missing digits.
Can I print straight from an Excel list?
Yes. The label workspace also accepts .xlsx, with worksheet, content, and caption selection. Previewing is free; PDF label export requires $39 lifetime Pro. Individual ZIP exports are free up to 20 codes per batch or $7 for one file up to 5,000 codes.
